News from a variety of sources shows that The Together At Christmas Carol Service was a major success!
For those who are unfamiliar, the carol service has been a hot topic of discussion for the past couple of weeks. Princess Catherine published letters, social media posts, and special illustrations to promote the event and make sure people rang in the Christmas season at Westminster Abbey.
An Instagram post from Hello! Magazine and X (formerly known as Twitter) posts from the Prince and Princess of Wales themselves show that the carol service was an amazing and festive affair. Videos show the Prince and Princess entering with their children as various media outlets photograph them walking. Posts from the royals' official accounts show them lighting candles, singing carols, and engaging with other members of the public who were in attendance.
Documentation of a night well spent
The tweet above shows Princess Catherine lighting candles with her children and singing carols. She had on a beautiful bright red dress with hints of green everywhere to drive home the holiday feel. In one photograph, a large Christmas tree with red and white lights can be seen in the background. However, another photo reveals that there were multiple trees set up throughout the Abbey.
The carol service's conclusion marks the end of a long period of build up. Multiple outlets provided updates about the royal family's holiday traditions and habits before the service and gave insight into the Princess of Wales' promotion strategy for the event. The carol service was one of the royal's most high profile events since finishing her preventative chemotherapy treatments earlier this year.
Now, the Royal Family will look forward to the rest of their holiday season and the other festive endeavors they have lined up in the near future. We recently reported on Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's holiday preparations and how the latter visited a garden center to search for the perfect Christmas tree. We also highlighted how Queen Camilla's son has never had Christmas at Sandringham.
The carol service at Westminster Abbey's conclusion gives everyone a chance to tie up any loose ends before Christmas Day and make sure there aren't any last minute hiccups or surprises. At the moment, we don't know if the royals will fit anymore carol services into their schedule before the big day. However, we will post updates as soon as we get the new information.
