Princess Anne did right by her daughter, Zara, when she decided against giving the Olympic medalist a royal title.

In a recent article, GB News reported on an interview Mike Tindall had with Closer UK. In the interview, the former rugby player said that he would reject "any offer to become a prince in the Royal Family" and "expressed satisfaction with his current status."

Mike is happy with his current status because he doesn't have to deal with the pressures and responsibilities of being a royal with an official title.

According to GB News, Zara Tindall shares her husband's opinion, as she's been exposed to the realities of living and working inside the Royal Family since she was born.

But wait, aren't there rules that prevent Zara from being a princess anyway?

GB News clarifies that Princess Anne's ability to give Zara a royal title would have been an exception and not the norm.

The publication states that royal titles are usually bestowed upon children by their fathers in the House of Windsor. However, female royals like the late Princess Margaret have given their children titles in the past.

Anne, Princess Royal could have cited her predecessors while explaining why she gave titles to her children, but the often celebrated royal actually decided against doing so.

While citing Princess Anne's interview with Vanity Fair, GB News claims that the Princess Royal thought life would be easier for Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips if they didn't have to deal with the disadvantages of having royal titles.

Princess Anne's decision gave Zara the freedom she needed in the end, as the equestrian pro has gone on to become a highly successful athlete and a well-known socialite within her personal network.

When thinking about how her life turned out, Zara told The Total Sport Podcast that she was happy to have grown up without any serious royal expectations.

"From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn't give us any titles, so I really commend her on that," the Olympian told the platform.

I can't blame Zara and Mike for their take on life, as it appears being a famous member of the Royal Family is much tougher than most people would realize.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dealt with a slew of troubles when they first stepped down from their royal duties, but it appears the Tindall Family will continue to avoid these issues since they never had any duties to step down from either way.
