Red Nose Day recently happened in the UK and that usually means British celebrities performing skits and all kinds of hilarity. This year, Kate Winslet got in on the fun and read a very adult children's book called F***, Now There Are Two of You.
The book is the third in the Go the F*** to Sleep series by Adam Mansbach and follows two parents who are discovering the struggles that come with adding a second kid to the family. But while we may have to bleep out the expletives, Kate Winslet definitely didn't.
Since everyone (kids included) pretty much watches the Red Nose Day specials, they also bleeped Kate Winslet with a Red Nose Day sticker, but it's still pretty clear from the video that she is actually saying the words.
The just over two-minute video shows the illustrations in the book as Winslet reads the words, and it is delightful, to say the least. It really works hearing the juxtaposition of her posh accent and then just all the curse words. Take a look!
Kate Winslet reads from expletive-filled book for Red Nose Day
As Winslet has three kids of her own, she definitely knows the struggles that the two parents experience in the book. By the end of the reading, she snaps the book shut and says "Goodnight" in an exasperated tone.
If you don't know, Red Nose Day is a telethon they have every year in the UK to raise money to end child poverty. Actors, artists, and comedians come together to entertain and encourage people to give to a great cause.
But Winslet is not the only celebrity that has read from the book. Samuel L. Jackson has read it, as has Jennifer Garner and Ani DiFranco.
When Winslet isn't reading expletive-filled books, you can catch her on the new HBO and MAX series The Regime, where she plays the ruler of an unnamed European country that is not doing well.
