The gridiron's news cycle will never die as long as the House of Windsor is alive.
A new report from Hello! Magazine shows that King Charles recently gave America's Greatest Game a chance to steal his heart.
Not too long after Super Bowl LIX concluded, the King of the United Kingdom visited Tottenham Hotspur stadium to celebrate Tottenham's support of local businesses and charitable causes.
Apparently, an American Football event was being held while King Charles was making his appearance. The event was hosted to teach young Brits more about the sport and the skills needed to play it.
Footage posted by Hello! Magazine shows King Charles throwing a football (quite accurately) towards a designated target.
While his son, Prince William, accomplished this feat at a different UK-based event, the King one-upped the Prince of Wales by throwing a dart with his off hand tucked away inside his overcoat.
Cool, calm, and collected

Just look at the picture above. Style. Technique. Charisma. All the traits needed for an amateur passer like King Charles to make you ask "What if?"
Unfortunately, we'll never get the answer to that question, as King Charles' value to the United Kingdom essentially forbids him from risking his body on the gridiron.
There's always flag football, but the King would still need to learn how to use that other hand if he wants to be a master of the craft.
"His technique wasn't immaculate," NFL player Efe Obada told Hello! Magazine. "I wanted him to get a little closer to the target so he could get it in, but he was having a great time and got a good reception."
Obada's critique of the King's performance was quite informed, as Efe is the UK's longest tenured player in the National Football League.
Is there a future on the field for the royals?

King Charles' introduction to the pigskin continues a new trend for the royals.
Prince William's debut as a natural passer occurred last October at an NFL Foundation UK event.
Prince Harry, who is quite the versatile sportsman himself, made an appearance at the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver. The Duke of Sussex didn't take a snap, but he did enjoy VIP access inside the stadium.
Unfortunately for us, the window for King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry to grace the gridiron as competitors is probably closed. Prince Harry is the youngest of the three men at a lightly seasoned 40-years-old.
Tom Brady, who many call the greatest NFL player of all-time, ended his 23 season career at 45.
