More news about a member of the Royal Family's health has arrived in the form of an update from Princess Anne.
A report from People claims that Princess Anne doesn't remember anything about the accident she suffered last summer. In an interview, the Princess Royal said that she remembers walking to one of her fields to check on her chickens but nothing else.
Information from other sources cited by People claim that the Princess Royal suffered injuries that were "consistent with an impact from a horse’s head or legs." Unfortunately, Princess Anne can't confirm these findings because of the accident's aftermath.
A new sense of gratitude after an unforeseen event

Princess Anne has opted to keep a positive perspective on life after her accident last summer. In quotes from People, the Princess Royal says that her incident "reminds you, shows you — you never quite know, something [happens] and you might not recover.”
Life's delicate nature also showed the Princess Royal that "you’re jolly lucky … if you can continue to be more or less [of sound mind]" and that everyone should "take each day as it comes" since everything is so unpredictable anyway.
Despite the consequences of her accident, the hardest working member of the Royal Family has no plans to retire from her post. According to Princess Anne, the lifestyle of a working royal doesn't have an established exit strategy. As a result, retirement in the traditional sense isn't really an option for her either way.
As expected, Princess Anne put her words into action, as she made her most recent comments during a two-day visit to South Africa. Unfortunately, she made the trip alone since her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence, stayed in the U.K. after suffering what is reported to be a torn ligament.
The Royal Family's medical condition has been a frequently discussed topic in the recent news cycle. Earlier this month, Tea and Banter reported on Princess Catherine's cancer being in remission. Tea and Banter also relayed information about Sarah Ferguson's past mental health struggles and how she leans on her daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, to recover from them.
2025 appears to be starting off slowly for the House of Windsor, but there is always a chance for things to become more positive. Princess Anne, Princess Catherine, and Sarah Ferguson have all refused to take extensive time off as they work through the aftermath of their hospital stays, chemotherapy sessions, and medical procedures.
Hopefully, the royal ladies' resilience pays dividends and makes 2025 one of their best years yet.
