When the longest reigning monarch in British history passes on, it is natural for news to keep coming out about them for quite some time.

This is the case in a new story published by Showbiz Cheatsheet. According to the publication, Princess Anne just revealed that Queen Elizabeth did not want to die in her beloved Balmoral Castle after all. This is shocking since King Charles recently reminded the world how much Queen Elizabeth favored the residence. However, Queen Elizabeth's reasons for rejecting her castle are actually quite endearing.

Queen Elizabeth didn't want to spend her last days at Balmoral Castle because she didn't want to inconvenience her family. Princess Anne said that the former Queen of the United Kingdom felt passing away in Scotland would cause logistical concerns for the rest of the Royal Family.

Luckily, there were people close to the Queen who were able to remind her that there were multiple plans in place to make sure she was safely transported back to England and buried according to her prestigious status. According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, two of these secret plans were Operation Unicorn and Operation Understudy. Both operations contributed to the timeline of events that led to the beautiful ceremony memorializing the Queen's time on Earth.

Princess Anne's recent revelations about Queen Elizabeth's concerns show that members of the Royal Family are still thinking about their lost loved one. Naturally, those born within the last few decades are still jarred as well, as the Queen was the only monarch that they knew until now.
