It appears the Prince and Princess of Wales have become more interested in baking recently!
In a recent article, Hello! Magazine reported that Princess Catherine promised to send her new plum jam recipe to a group of young gardeners during her and William's visit to Pontypridd, in South Wales.
The Princess' interest in making jam grew after she began learning how to forage with her children in her spare time. The sweet side dish came up once Catherine noticed the young gardeners tending to their own batch of plums.
Apparently, Catherine and William made multiple stops during their time in Pontypridd, which was their first joint engagement since mid-February.
The couple's visit was actually delayed an hour after their train was disrupted; but the setback didn't stop the couple from looking forward to their stop at The Welsh Cake Shop and meeting some of their fans along the way.
An impromptu baking competition between husband and wife
The Instagram reel attached above shows Princess Catherine and Prince William rolling and flipping some Welsh cakes before greeting some fans of the royals outside The Welsh Cake Shop's bakery.
Hello! Magazine's collage of photographs shows Catherine and William working in sync while learning how to make the cakes during a fun lesson.
Of course, the couple couldn't help themselves and began competing with each other once they got the hand of their new baking skills.
At one point, Prince William even gave a shout out to TV baking icon Mary Berry after Princess Catherine asked him how he made his cakes look so good!
"Those are so good. How did you do that?" the Princess asked.
"Well I don’t know, my stunning baker skills, Mary Berry taught me everything I need to know," the Prince replied while gushing over his own work.
Multiple chances to see the beautiful and healthy couple in person
It appears the royal couple's Welsh fans had multiple chances to see them. On their official account, Catherine and William posted pictures of their time at the Meadow Street Community Garden.
The Prince and Princess of Wales' bilingual caption claimed that the community garden is "a place of healing, connection, and community."
The post also says that the site has been thriving since mid-January. This improvement comes after the community garden was damaged by flooding during the holiday season.
Catherine and William's collage contains videos of local residents explaining what the community garden means to them and various photos highlighting the venue's beauty.
The post's photos also reveal that Catherine's recent interest in foraging is a trend that may be here to stay, as she appears to show a great amount of attentiveness while learning about the nature around her.
