Over the years, Prince William and Princess Catherine have looked forward to the holiday season and all it has to offer. According to a recent report from Hello! Magazine, Princess Catherine will host a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 6. The carol service is unlikely to be the only event Catherine and her husband have scheduled for the family, however, as recent history shows the couple usually opts to spend time outside the house!

A history of making the most out of the holiday season

In recent times, William and Catherine spent time around the UK while giving their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, some of the best experiences possible. In 2022, the Prince and Princess of Wales took the family to Lapland UK in Ascot and saw reindeer, a toy factory, and a magical forest. Hello! states visitors noticed Catherine, a noted fashion icon, was dressed down for the affair.

Last year, the entire family searched for a Christmas tree together in Berkshire. According to a source Hello! Magazine spoke with, William, Catherine, George, Charlotte, and Louis picked a tree from Windsor Great Park. This is important because it helped the family keep an informal tradition Queen Elizabeth started herself once upon a time.

In 2020, the family spent Christmas with the rest of the royals in the Sandringham estate. When they weren't inside the home, Catherine and company spent time swimming, browsing the supermarket, and sampling the local pubs for lunch. While they were criticized for it at the time (due to public health-related events), the Prince and Princess of Wales also took their children through the Luminate festive light trail.

Other moments saw Prince William and Princess Catherine use the holiday season as an opportunity to prepare their children for life as working royals. Last year, George, Charlotte, and Louis accompanied Catherine to a baby bank in Windsor. A different source told Hello! that the Princess of Wales decided she would take the young royals to the bank after making an initial visit a few months before. Apparently, the children enjoyed themselves and were eager to help out wherever possible.

As we go deeper into the fall, every member of the Royal Family is likely to reveal what their plans for the holidays are.
