Prince Harry and Meghan Markle couldn't attend a recent Netflix event in person, but they'll be happy to know at least one of the attendees kept them in mind.
An article from Deadline reports that John Mulaney, the host of a new talk show airing on Netflix, joked about the couple's business dealings with the streamer while promoting his own project. According to Deadline, Mulaney quipped that "not since Harry and Meghan has Netflix given more money to someone without a specific plan."
The barb was less of a dig at Harry and Meghan and more of an explanation of how chaotic his own show will be. Mulaney said that his product will be the only place where Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nikki Glaser, and a family therapist could sit next to each other in the audience without feeling out of place. The comedian also said that he would have the most successful talk show in history if it could be "one-tenth as popular on Netflix as anything from South Korea."
A chance to look at Archewell Productions' track record thus far

Harry and Meghan recently wrapped up two solo projects for Netflix. Harry's sports series Polo was created to cover the historic sport on a wider scale. Harry leveraged his creativity to highlight the nuances of the game while also introducing viewers to some of the game's best modern athletes.
On Meghan's end, With Love, Meghan began its promotional run late last year. The lifestyle show centers around the Duchess of Sussex cooking accessible home style meals with a rotating roster of special guests including actresses Abigail Spencer and Mindy Kaling.
Aside from these offerings, Harry and Meghan's Archewell Productions has released projects like the couple's Harry & Meghan docuseries, Harry's Heart of Invictus, and an interview-focused series entitled Live to Lead.
Despite their recent output, some have claimed that the size of Harry and Meghan's catalog is actually underwhelming. These claims usually come after fans remember the hype surrounding the couple's contract with Netflix when it was first announced in 2020.
These sentiments were the foundation of Mulaney's joke about the couple during his remarks. The best way for Harry and Meghan to eliminate this perception is to create more content for Netflix and establish themselves as prominent individuals within the entertainment industry.
At the same time, the couple could decide to take chaotic jabs like Mulaney's in stride, as its clear they were not the only targets of his hilarious routine.
