When does Heart of Invictus premiere on Netflix?

The next project from Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan is heading to Netflix. On Wednesday, August 16, Netflix announced the premiere date of the Heart of Invictus series.

The Invictus Games is a "international adaptive sports competition for injured, sick and wounded service personnel and veterans," that was founded by Prince Harry in 2014. It's been a passion project of his and one that he has remained dedicated to, even after stepping back from being a working royal.

As part of the couple's contract with Netflix, they helped to create the docuseries, Heart of Invictus, which follows competitors of the Invictus Games as they get ready to compete. The series follows competitors who were originally supposed to compete in the 2020 Invictus Games. Of course, with the pandemic delaying things, the games was moved to April of 2022, which allowed the series to follow these competitors as they prepared for the games.

According to People Magazine, the official premiere date for the docuseries is actually this month! That's right, Heart of Invictus is set to premiere in August 2023, specifically on the 30th.

As part of the streaming services announcement of when the series will drop on the platform, they also shared a trailer for the series that included clips of previous games, interviews, and of course some Prince Harry moments as well.

The Heart of Invictus series was originally announced as part of the contract with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan back in 2021. Filming took place leading up to the Invictus Games in 2022 and the last update we received was in January 2023, when Netflix revealed that the series would drop in the summer of this year.

After months of waiting, it seems as if Netflix is finally ready for the docuseries to hit the platform. And we are here for that news. It means that we have something to look forward to at the end of the month.
