What color will we never see Queen Camilla wear?

While Queen Elizabeth II was known for wearing a rainbow of colors when taking part in public engagements, for other members of the royal family, there are some colors they prefer over others. And when it comes to Queen Camilla, it seems that not only does she have a preference for the color blue (especially shades of royal blue), there is also one color we will never see her wear.

On top of being a big fan of the color blue, it seems that the queen is also known for wearing white, greens, and even reds. But there is one color that she will never be seen wearing, and she even has a less than flattering name for the shade.

Prior to Queen Camilla's 75th birthday, she had a chance to speak to British Vogue, and at the time she was asked about the Wisteria flower and if she owned any clothing in that particular color family. And it was quite clear that we will never see the queen wearing that shade of purple, which is a mauve color.

Queen Camilla will never wear this color in public or otherwise

Although Queen Camilla has no problem wearing purple outfits, when it comes to the color mauve, she is not a fan. In fact, she describes the color as "Menopausal mauve." And if that doesn't give you an idea of how the queen feels about that particular shade of purple, nothing will.

In general, we don't really see Queen Camilla in a lot of lighter shades, although she did recently wear a light blue jacket at a public engagement. So it really doesn't come as a surprise that mauve and even lighter shades of purple are not something we see the queen wearing for formal occasions.

Perhaps we will see more pastels and lighter shades joining the queen's fashion rotation in the future, but at the very least we highly doubt mauve will ever be a part of her wardrobe.
