Fans of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York's literary works may have been disappointed when the author and television personality had to cancel her appearance at a book festival in Australia. Luckily, American fans of the wordsmith's work were able to chat with her at a stateside event in Rhode Island.

While promoting her historical romance novel, A Most Intriguing Lady, at the Ocean House Author Series, the Duchess of York gave insight into her bestselling work of art and dazzled visitors with her attire. In a collage of photographs published on her Instagram, the Duchess of York can be seen taking pictures with her fans and speaking in front of an engaged audience. It also appears that the venue selected for the event allowed attendees to get up close and personal with their favorite writer!

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, visited Rhode Island as part of the Ocean House Author Series

From the looks of it, we can assume that the Duchess enjoyed herself at the Ocean House Author Series. That's amazing news since Americans don't receive opportunities to visit with members of the royal family that often. Unless they are completely out of touch, the average American is probably aware that there are two members of the royal family living inside their borders. However, the States don't receive casual public appearances from Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's relatives as much as other countries do. Hopefully, the Author Series' success will lead to the Duchess of York visiting the U.S. more often.
