In 2022, Princess Catherine stepped out in a gorgeous navy blue and white polka dot dress from Alessandra Rich while at Wimbledon. She was accompanied by both Prince George and Prince William at the time for a fun outing with her family.
It was a fun and elegant look that got people talking (and shopping). And it was one she even paired with slingback, cap toe pumps for a perfectly put together daytime look. After seeing her outfit, it really felt like this was a sign that polka dots are the way to go when it comes to royal fashion for the princess.
And now, Princess Catherine is once again stepping out in not only the exact same Alessandra Rich dress, but also the same pumps. As People Magazine explained, the princess was helping to open Hope Street, which is "a pioneering residential hub dedicated to keeping women in the justice system with their children," when she chose to rewear the elegant look.

Obviously, this was not a Wimbledon event, but rather a work event, so it makes sense that the look would seem a bit different in this particular setting. And all it takes is the lack of sunglasses, and the addition of pearl drop earrings (versus the earrings she wore last year that featured a blue stone) and her white handbag to make this look perfect for an official outing.
Princess Catherine is definitely making polka dots her official look of 2023 based on her recent dress choices. Her polka dot dresses have all been a great blend of elegant and regal, with a touch of whimsy and youthfulness. And we are here for it.
We can't wait to see what the Princess of Wales chooses to wear next. And we are definitely on the lookout for anymore recycled looks from the princess as well.
