When we think of the royal family, we probably do not think about emojis. However, recently Prince William and Princess Catherine were asked about their most used emojis while appearing on Going Home, a BBC Radio 1 show.

Perhaps the most shocking thing about this question is not the fact that the royal couple was asked about their most used emoji, but rather what Prince William actually answered. In fact, his answer was undoubtedly a rather not safe for work response, according to US Weekly, and it made us laugh.

While answering the question, Prince William revealed that "I’ve been told not to say the aubergine, so I’ve got to pick something else." So basically, it seems that the prince's most used emoji is the eggplant emoji and we have a lot of questions about that!

Of course, as the prince pointed out, he was told not to say that one so he did pick a different emoji as well, explaining, "It would have been the aubergine, but I’m saying now — because I’ve got to be all grown up — it’s the one where the eyes go up and down and the mouth’s out."

So basically if Prince William isn't using the eggplant emoji, he is instead picking the crazy face emoji. And again, we have a lot of questions about his text messages.

While Prince William clearly had some fun with his answer, Princess Catherine definitely opted for a more family-friendly option. She shared that her most used emoji is the heart, but she also said she uses the crying emoji, as well as the hysterical laughing one.

We can't help but appreciate the fact that Prince William was willing to have fun with his answer, as well as his text messages. Of course, we also appreciate that this conversation was part of a larger message revolving around mental health as the royal couple was working to raise mental health awareness for World Mental Health Day.
