On October 10, Carson Daly acted as a moderator for the recent Archewell Foundation Summit focused on mental health. The discussion featured Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan as they talked about parenting, mental health, and both reaching out for help, as well as solutions for families as they handle a digital age that can be problematic.

And while we truly appreciate the work that the Sussexes and their foundation are doing for mental health, we are also fascinated by the way they interact with the public. So it was nice to hear Daly talking about meeting the couple and how his interaction went down.

According to US Weekly, it seems that Carson Daly had a lot of positive things to say about Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, while he also shared that the duchess made it clear that hugs were welcome.

Carson Daly was worried about royal protocol but Duchess Meghan helped ease his mind

On Wednesday morning, Daly talked about meeting the Sussexes on the Today show and explained that he didn't know what royal protocol would be for meeting Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. He said he wasn't sure if a hug or a handshake would be welcome, but the duchess made it clear that hugs were fine, telling him to "bring it in."

The former TRL host shared with his fellow Today show cohosts that he found the Sussexes to be "so great." And that is something that we love to hear. It is a reminder that many of us don't know what royal protocol might be and even Duchess Meghan has talked about struggling with those protocols herself.

Considering how often the duchess has been accused of breaking protocols, we can't help but appreciate how she went out of her way to make Carson Daly feel at ease. And of course, we also appreciate the fact that he seemed to have nothing but positive things to say about the couple following his experience with them as a moderator for them.
