Prince William made his official return to work after summer holiday on September 5
On September 5, Prince William officially returned to work after the summer holidays. In his first official engagement after his break with the family, the Prince of Wales visited the Saatchi Gallery in London.
The appearance at the art gallery revolved around his initiative to end homelessness in the UK. For this visit, the prince had the opportunity to see an exhibit entitled, "Homelessness: Reframed."
Ahead of the actual visit to the gallery in London, Prince William took to social media to share that he was looking forward to visiting Saatchi Gallery and shared exactly what it was all about, with the help of a video post from the Homewards UK X (formerly Twitter) account.
Pictures from the engagement showed the bearded royal (yes the beard has made a reappearance after being shaved off for a Sunday service visit) arriving at the gallery, as well as touring the exhibit and chatting with people involved in the project. It was an opportunity for the public to be made aware of the exhibition and the importance of this project.

Following the visit, the Prince of Wales was back on social media to spotlight the visit and the work of the artists involved. Pictures from the prince's engagement were shared in multiple tweets, along with a message that pointed out the purpose of the exhibit.
"Shining a light on the variety of ways homelessness impacts people, those with lived experience are at the heart of this project. It brings to life the complex breadth of homelessness, providing a platform for those directly affected by homelessness to share their stories through art."

There was also a follow up post on X featuring a video with the Prince of Wales. The topic for this video was about the purpose of Homeward UK's work, with a look at the exhibit that the prince saw at the gallery on September 5.
It was certainly a busy return to work for the prince, while also being a bit of an emotional one. Art in all its forms is about evoking emotions and connecting with people. So it is lovely to see this exhibit shining a light on homelessness and the people who have this lived experience.
We do hope to see more of the work being done by Homeward UK, as well as more projects similar to the Homelessness: Reframed exhibition.
