Prince William explains why he was unable to attend the 2024 Olympic Games in person

Did you guys notice that Prince William wasn't at the 2024 Olympic Games, too?
If you did, we finally have the reason why the Prince of Wales was unable to support Team Great Britain in person! According to a new report from Hello Magazine, Prince William decided not to attend the Games because athletes' positive tests reminded him that COVID-19 is still a thing. Recognizing this, he didn't want to put his wife, Princess Kate, in harm's way as she continues her treatment for cancer.
An honorable reason from an honorable husband
The 2024 Paris Games were stuffed with numerous events happening everyday. While it would have been exhilarating for Prince William to see the action in person, he made an informed decision that allowed him to care for his wife and catch all the coverage he could on television at home.
During a conversation with Adam Beaty, Tom Dean, Maisie Summer-Newton and Louise Fiddes, the Prince of Wales confirmed that he was glued to the Games' coverage whenever he could be. Apparently, Prince William's entire family is a fan of the water as well, as the Royal also revealed that Prince George has started scuba diving!
Tea and Banter covered the water throughout the entire Olympics, and we were enthralled with the skill and grit of Team GB's athletes the entire time! Watching the games remotely gave us a chance to support our favorite team and feel like we were just as involved as anyone else. So, in a way, we can confirm that safely enjoying the event from home can give you the rush you need to get by.
