Duchess Meghan’s new lifestyle series for Netflix will not film in her Montecito home
On April 11, news broke that Netflix was once again working with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, on two different programs. One would be a look at the sport of polo, and the other would be a lifestyle program featuring the Duchess talking about cooking, gardening, and other aspects of life and living.
Now a new report has revealed that the Duchess’ lifestyle series will not actually be filmed at the couple’s Montecito home. And while this is not actually that surprising, it’s probably disappointing for people who were looking for a sneak peek behind the curtain.
According to the New York Post, it is being said that filming is set to start on the series as of Tuesday, April 16. This comes after a quick trip to Florida, where Prince Harry took part in a polo match to benefit his charity organization Sentebale, alongside Nacho Figueras. (Many believe that this particular polo match was also filmed for Netflix, although obviously not the lifestyle program.)

So where will Duchess Meghan be filming her new lifestyle program? It sounds like Netflix actually rented a different house in Montecito for the series. This will give a sense of home to the program, while also allowing the royal couple to still retain their privacy.
While there is still a lot we do not know about this particular program, including the title of the show, according to a description of the series it will “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship.” We also know that it is being said this will be a collaborative effort with the Duchess’ new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. Considering that the brand is new, but has already sent out some jams to friends of the Duchess, we can see why this collaboration would happen. American Riviera Orchard is set to be a lifestyle brand that offers home decor, kitchen goods, small treats and more. It is an all encompassing brand, that perfectly aligns with the idea of the TV series.
It will be interesting to see how the new series comes together, while also working in conjunction with the new lifestyle brand itself. This could be a great way for fans of the royal couple to get their fix of the Duchess, at the same time as they are enjoying some of her favorite things.
