After 60 years of traveling the timestream on your television, Doctor Who packs a lot of history. There have been 14 Doctors, twice as many companions and villains, numerous locations and more iconic moments then even the best Whovian can count.

It is a history that is going to be celebrated this November when the BBC and Disney Plus air a trio of specials to celebrate the sixty year voyage of the TARDIS. Then Doctor Who will continue making more history as a new Christmas Special introduces a brand new Doctor.

But that's not all. Lots of folks are planning ways to commemorate Doctor Who and its past and future. And that includes Wizards of the Coast, makers of the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. First introduced in 1993, the game has long been the standard for CCGs around the globe.

And now, Doctor Who is joining in on the fun as Wizards get ready to release a new expansion that will add the Doctor (Yes, all of them.) to the game in the form of four ready to play Commander Decks.

Magic: the Gathering - Doctor Who arrives in stores October 13

For those not familiar with Magic, the game allows players to build a customized deck of cards and combat other players with decks of their own. The cards have various rarities and colors so no two decks are ever the same.

And now those cards will include the Doctor and the rest of the cast of characters. And for anyone Whovian may be playing Magic for the first time, all four decks are playable right out of the box. No deck building skills needed.

Each deck includes a theme and they include the following:

  • The Blast from the Past Deck, which is a green/white/blue deck that covers the classic Doctors before the series was revived, better known as Doctors One through Ten.
  • The Timey-Wimey Deck, a red/blue/white deck that includes the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors.
  • The Paradox Deck, a green/blue/red deck that covers the Twelfth and Thirteenth versions of the Doctor.
  • The Masters of Evil Deck, a blue/black/red deck that used the bad guys from Doctor Who as the inspiration.

Each deck will include 50 brand new cards as well as a way for players to visit all the different locations the series has visited over the last 60 years. Additionally, booster packs will be available so you can add more card to your collections.

Magic: The Gathering – Doctor Who arrives in your local hobby shop on October 13.
