Barbie completely smashed the competition to end the summer as the top performing film at the UK Box Office, according to official data from the British Film Institute via The Numbers.
Since its release on the 21st of July, the Greta Gerwig film starring Margot Robbit and Ryan Gosling has grossed a total of £93.72m - a total that also makes it the top performing movie across the full of 2023.
The film almost doubled the income of the next best performer, as well as surpassing any film released last year, including Top Gun Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water.
As of time of writing, it stands as the sixth highest grossing film in the UK since data began being collected in 2002, behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Spectre, Skyfall, No Time To Die and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
