New report details Prince William and Princess Catherine's beautiful love story

Recently, Showbiz Cheatsheet published an article answering some of the questions they receive most often from their readers. Most of the questions, however, focused on one of the Royal Family's most high-profile connections, the romantic relationship between Prince William and Princess Catherine.

The beginning of a romance in bloom

According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, the Prince and Princess of Wales first met while they were both studying in university. The two University of St. Andrews students lived in the same dorm and frequently ate meals together as they got to know each other as friends.

As their courtship progressed, William and Kate (her preferred name at the time) would eventually reside in an off-campus apartment with their classmates, as their friendship blossomed into romance. The couple would stay together until 2007, the year when they briefly broke up. However, the young lovers would not be separated for long.

Prince William's decision to pop the question

In hindsight, Prince William did not waste time deciding Catherine was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. After their brief breakup, the couple got back together and eventually got engaged in 2010.

Showbiz Cheatsheet says that William proposed to Catherine while they were on a trip in Kenya with friends. Catherine was completely shocked, but William was as prepared as he'd ever been. Apparently, the Prince carried a ring previously owned by his mother Princess Diane in his backpack for weeks!

A perfect union still going strong

Obviously, Princess Catherine said yes and the couple got married in their late 20s. Ever since their union was made official, the couple has been visible in various aspects of British society. Princess Catherine became a fashion icon while Prince William displayed he is a man of many talents and interests.

As of now, the Prince and Princess of Wales are parents to three children, Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6). We have no idea if the couple plans to expand their family any further, but we do know that we can still see that sparkle in their eyes from time to time!
