Lewis Hamilton's disappointing first season with Ferrari continues to take a bizarre turn.

A new report from GB News shows that Lewis Hamilton had a bit of a gaffe on social media.

While scrolling on Instagram, Hamilton liked a post sympathising with him and blaming Ferrari's crew for his slow start in 2025.

The post in question alleged that "There’s a deep sense of disappointment watching Lewis Hamilton’s transition to Ferrari unfold this season."

While continuing, the post said, "the reality is increasingly difficult to ignore" before going deeper into the reasons for Hamilton's struggle behind the wheel for the Italian outfit.

So, what appears to be the issue?

The social media post also claimed that Scuderia's Italian way of thought could be a hindrance to Lewis Hamilton's development in the program. When elaborating, the post says "Lewis, a seasoned British driver, now operates in an environment dominated by Italian structure and style — and that adaptation hasn’t been smooth."

Lewis' cultural background matters because reports have claimed that Ferrari's way of doing business is different from most F1 teams. Lewis' miscommunication with his team contributed to his poor performance in the Monaco Grand prix.

Unfortunately, the team's miscommunication with the legendary driver led Hamilton to ask "Are you upset with me?" after the race was over.

Hamilton's issue with his teammates continued when he learned early on that his car wasn't strong enough to compete during the Spanish Grand Prix. Pundits in the UK have begun questioning if Hamilton's poor performance this season is a mechanical issue or a sign that the 40-year-old legend is starting to wear down as an elite performer.

With all this in mind, a slip up from Hamilton while reading a social media post supporting him shouldn't be a surprise. If anything, it should be expected.

The criticism surrounding Hamilton's time with Ferrari is growing, and people on all sides of the F1 community are invested in crafting a solution for the seven-time world champion's problems.

Thus far, Lewis Hamilton's sole Top 3 finish in 2025 was a sprint race victory in China. The victory was a light reprieve from the problems at hand, but it wasn't a sign that things were starting to mesh between Hamilton and Ferrari's engineering team.

For now, all Hamilton can do is look inward and get ready for the Canada Grand Prix. The race is scheduled to take place on the 15th of June at 7:00 p.m. British Summer Time (BST).
