If there is one thing that we can count on, it is that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has critics. And no matter what she does, those critics are going to talk about her. And recently, she has definitely come under fire for her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from being working royals in 2020, it feels like people have wanted them to vanish into obscurity. But that’s not going to happen. Not only do they have the projects and charities that they consistently work with, but they need to be able to provide for themselves and their family. And in a recent interview, that is exactly what the Duchess pointed out.
According to Page Six, in a recent interview, Duchess Meghan explained that “I need to work, and I love to work.” Whether she is talking about her podcast or her lifestyle series, it’s clear that Duchess Meghan enjoys her work. And she’s not going to stop just because of her critics. She’s not apologizing and I don’t think she needs to.
Duchess Meghan makes it clear that she enjoys working
Another thing to note is that what she is doing with her life is not out of character. It’s not like she decided to take being a royal and turn it into a business venture. Even before Meghan met Prince Harry, she had a lifestyle blog. She was a working actress. She did things in the public eye. Whether she was as famous then, as she is now or not, it’s not like what she’s doing is out of character. And that’s something that people need to remember.
In terms of both her podcast, and even her Netflix series, the Duchess of Sussex explained that, “This is a way I can connect my home life and my work.” And at least for us, it makes perfect sense, especially if you have tuned in to her previous podcast or With Love, Meghan.
And if you are a fan of the Duchess, we have even more coming our way. Her next podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder” is set to debut on April 8. So of course, we can’t wait to see what she has to say and see exactly what topics she covers.
