On April 28, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was a guest on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. This was the first time that the duchess has been a guest on a podcast and it was a chance for her to be open and honest about her life and work.
The podcast appearance felt like another opportunity to really learn more about the Duchess of Sussex in her own words. Not only did she make it clear that she is tired of having to prove herself to others, but according to GB News she also opened up about the possibility of writing a memoir in the future.
Considering Prince Harry already found success with his own memoir, Spare, it makes sense that people might be curious to learn whether or not Duchess Meghan would also write her own. And it seems as if she is not necessarily opposed to it, but it is not in the cards right now.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is not ruling out a memoir, but it's not time for it yet
In talking about the possibility of sharing her life in a memoir, the duchess acknowledged that she knows there are people who would want to read it.
"I think people are often curious if I'm going to write a memoir, but I've got a lot more life to live before I'm there.Meghan, Duchess of Sussex
I love, right now, working on everything in this space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sorts of tips"
While she may not be in a place where she is looking to write a memoir, it did sound like she could be interested in doing something in the home and entertaining space in terms of a book. Duchess Meghan is focusing on her current podcast, her As Ever brand and the Netflix series, With Love, Meghan at this time. However, she is not ruling out the idea of a book related to these topics.
Although Prince Harry was successful with Spare, it sounds like it might be a while before we see Duchess Meghan following in his footsteps. At this point, it does make sense for her to wait, and we also get where she is coming from in that she has a lot of life left to live.
