4 Bridgerton spin-offs we need to become a reality

Bridgerton may still be a year away (or at least not until sometime in 2026), but that doesn't mean we can't dream about the characters and the possible stories we could get from the writers. While we are unlikely to get more spin-offs beyond Queen Charlotte, a girl can dream. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the stories I would love to see come to the screen.

Edwina Sharma's love story

While there have been many characters who we have had to say goodbye to for one reason or another, most have gotten some kind of sendoff or been featured a little bit in other seasons. That has not been the case with Edwina Sharma. She got done dirty. After all the horror she had to go through when her beloved fell in love with her sister, she needs to have a romantic love story all her own. If any character deserves it, it's her. The only crime she committed was looking for love. She needs someone who will adore her.

Kate and Anthony in India

Bridgerton desperately needs to get out of London. Don't get me wrong! There is plenty of drama and intrigue in the London social circles, but it doesn't have to be the end-all and be-all of this world. And what better way to move the show to someplace different than with Kate and Anthony? They clearly want to be on an extended honeymoon and away from the chaos of The Season. It would also allow the series to show off Indian culture (especially in this time period). We saw some things in season 2, but there is so much more the show could explore. And why not do so with everyone's favorite couple?!

4 Bridgerton spin-offs that need to happen

Penelope's writing career

While Penelope has been revealed as Lady Whistledown, that doesn't mean she has to stop writing. We currently don't know how the show will use her alter ego next season, but even if they get rid of her, Penelope shouldn't stop writing altogether. Why not have a show where we see the struggles of getting published as a woman, under her own name, and when the topic isn't lurid gossip? It could be fascinating.

Drama downstairs

We need a spin-off of the Bridgerton servants. What's going on downstairs when Kate and Anthony are trying to hate each other? What is the servant gossip when Penelope and Eloise break up their friendship? What love stories are happening below stairs? Enquiring minds want to know the drama! While we have gotten a few moments where servants have been helpful in all three seasons (and Queen Charlotte), they haven't been fully developed. A spin-off telling their stories would be perfect.
