Trooping the Colour has come and gone once again and for 2025, it seemed as if Princess Catherine was channeling a previous royal icon - Princess Diana. (At the very least, the colors were definitely quite on point in terms of looking back at something Diana herself wore.) For this year's event, the Princess of Wales went for a look that was definitely classic, while also being bright and even relatively vibrant.
Princess Catherine's aqua blue look was crisp and structured, but still seemed perfect for a late spring occasion. And it was nice to see the princess seemingly matching with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, who also wore a light blue dress of her own.
But the real question for some is what was Princess Catherine actually wearing at Trooping the Colour? Well thanks to the royal fashion watcher Remoulade Sauce on X (Formerly Twitter), it seems that this piece is actually a coat dress from Catherine Walker. The dress is called the Bria Dress and it is in the shade aquamarine.
To really bring this look together, Princess Catherine paired the coat dress with a matching hat from Juliette Botterill. And for the shoes, we are looking at a more classic pump in a nude color from Gianvitto Rossi.
Princess Catherine opted for Catherine Walker for her 2025 Trooping the Colour look
Interestingly enough, the Catherine Walker Bria dress that Princess Catherine wore actually comes in a second color way from the designer. And on the designer's website the Bria is also available in "guards red and black." That being said, if you were trying to channel your inner princess and wanted to get your own Bria dress, you would need to contact the atelier directly for a consultation, even with their "ready to wear" collection.
That being said, this coat dress might just become an inspiration for a lot of women, as this dress was definitely iconic in a lot of ways. The color itself is definitely something that got us talking and we think it could be one of the colors of the summer.
