On January 6, news broke that Tom Holland and Zendaya were engaged after the actress showed off a stunning ring on her left hand ring finger while on the red carpet of the Golden Globes. While Zendaya did not confirm this news when asked about future wedding bells at the awards ceremony, a family friend apparently did spill the beans to TMZ the next day.
Now, new reports reveal that Holland and Zendaya got matching tattoos ahead of the engagement. According to Page Six, the longtime couple actually got tattoos back in November of 2024, while in Boston. Apparently they went to the "Boston Tattoo Company’s Newbury Street location in Massachusetts on Nov. 27 — the day before Thanksgiving — and got a sweet, discreet design."
So how did people learn about the matching tattoos? Well it seems that eagle eyed viewers saw a small "t" tattooed under Zendaya's armpit thanks to the gorgeous dress she was wearing on the Golden Globes red carpet. After seeing the small "t" tattoo, a further report revealed that Tom Holland also has a similar tattoo, although his is of a small "z" which is actually on his ribcage.
Tom Holland and Zendaya have cemented their love with matching tattoos
Apparently the couple went to the tattoo shop with no appointments, and Tom went first as this was not his first tattoo. It seems that he also has a small spider tattooed on his foot, which makes perfect sense as he is our current Spiderman.
This is said to be Zendaya's first tattoo and we love that it is Tom's first initial. Sources who talked about the couple's tattoo shared that they got a discount from the parlor, being charged $100 each, which was $50 less than the minimum that the shop usually charges. And the couple was not alone as Zendaya's mother was apparently with them for the tattoos (considering it was her daughter's first tattoo this doesn't surprise us at all).
From tattoos to engagement news, Tom Holland is committed to his lady love. And we love this for them. We can't wait to see if they share more about their engagement themselves or if it will remain more private, as they often keep things to themselves when it comes to their personal life.
