When last we left The Traitors, Boston Rob had, yet again, fended off a run at the Roundtable. He’d helped lead the charge to banish Wes, but people weren’t convinced he was a Faithful. Getting to the turret that night, it was clear the Traitors’ alliance was fractured, too.
So, how would they move forward. The smart money to move off Rob as a suspect would be to banish anyone but Derrick, who led the charge against him. And yet, as we open, Rob is adamant that Derrick must go. It seemed like a foolhardy strategy, but would it pay off? Let’s dive in.
How did we get to the point on The Traitors where we lost another traitor?

The relationship between Carolyn, Danielle, and Rob is at an all-time low. In fact, we leave the turret unsure if they’ll even be able to agree enough to murder a Faithful this week. By the next morning, it’s clear they were. As everyone files in, it soon becomes clear that Derrick is the one who is no longer with them. But how can that be?
We flashback to the turret and Rob continues to make his case. While Danielle is against it, and seemingly crushed at the specter of losing another ally, she eventually relents. Rob pulls it off, but it once again puts him in the crosshairs of nearly everyone—including Tom. For once in the game, Tom’s suspicion is spot on as he’s convinced Rob is a traitor.
Throughout the episode and one of the grossest challenges imaginable, Rob continues to try and deflect. He intimates that Derrick was murdered to frame him. Will the gambit work?
As they head to the Roundtable, Rob not only is trying to deflect, but he’s trying to push suspicion to Britney. There are some that seem to buy this theory, but once again it’s an ally of Danielle. She’s not pleased by this turn of events.
Carolyn, too, is weary of Rob and her ability to be safe if he remains. So, as the tense table turns into a choice between Rob and Britney, both fellow Traitors seem torn about what to do. In the end, both shoot their shot and vote for Rob. So, too, do five of the 12 others, giving him seven votes and banishing him.
In the Circle of Truth, Rob admits he’s a Traitor. There’s a sigh of relief, albeit brief, as the group has gotten a Traitor out, again.
Both Carolyn and Danielle are pleased Rob is gone, but can they renew their alliance and work as a team? We end with Danielle pledging to do just that. We’ll see how the alliance holds as we sprint toward the finish of Season 3!
