The content covering the 2025 Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration is rolling in!
Hello! Magazine's coverage of the event contains some of the best photos and moments from today's events. The biggest storyline throughout the entire day is King Charles' reunion with Prince William and his daughter-in-law, Princess Catherine.
Hello! Magazine reports that the Service of Celebration is one of the first times Charles and Catherine have seen each other since they were both diagnosed with cancer last year. The King was diagnosed in February 2024, while Catherine officially revealed her cancer diagnosis last March.
The timing of both royals' revelations led them to miss the 2024 Commonwealth Day festivities altogether.
How did the King and Princess of Wales greet each other when they finally met?

A video published in another report from Hello! Magazine shows that Princess Catherine greeted her father-in-law with a proper curtsy once she saw him during the Service of Celebration.
Hello! Magazine noted that Catherine's formal greeting wasn't a snub of any kind. The nature of the ceremony and the King's formal position requires everyone to show him a certain level of respect while he's on duty.
What else is going on at the Service of Celebration?

Princess Catherine wore a beautiful red dress with a matching cap and wonderful jewelry to accompany it. Prince William looked dapper in his simple dark blue suit and checkered tie.
Other high profile guests like Anne, Princess Royal attended the event to celebrate the existence of the Commonwealth as well. Musical performances from the Masai Cultural Arts team and Britain's Got Talent 2015 semi-finalists, Braimah and Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, rounded out the affair.
According to Hello! Magazine, the theme of this year's Commonwealth Day is "Together We Thrive."
The idea celebrates the "enduring spirit of the Commonwealth family" and highlights the importance of creating strong communities "that support and empower their members [while] enabling meaningful progress."
Unfortunately, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were unable to attend the Commonwealth Day event. Luckily, there aren't any hard feelings between them and the Crown, as King Charles and Queen Camilla wished Prince Edward a happy birthday on social media!
Monday marked the Duke of Edinburgh's 61st year around the sun and the announcement that he is the new patron of the Royal Tennis Court at Hampton Court Palace. Hello! Magazine claims that Sophie was not in attendance because she's traveling to New York.
