Many of us already assumed this, but a recent report from the Daily Mail confirms that being a working member of the Royal Family is a hard job.

According to the Daily Mail, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is one of the hardest workers in the Royal Family and is likely to receive an increased workload in the near future. Estimates reported by the outlet claim that Sophie made 257 appearances at home and abroad in 2024. These appearances weren't for the most glamorous reasons either, as Sophie is known to support causes that make people wince at first glance.

Sophie's willingness to take on hard jobs at a prolific rate seems to come from her humility and work ethic. In fact, Queen Elizabeth liked Sophie's personality so much that she was the first unmarried girlfriend who was allowed to stay over at Buckingham Palace.

The Daily Mail's reporting shows that Sophie and her husband, Prince Edward, are two of the most normal people within the Royal Family. Sophie packs her own bags at the grocery store and Edward once asked a friend if they wanted to mix their laundry together since he was already preparing the wash.

Queen Elizabeth recognized Sophie and Edward's chemistry early on and noticed that their long courting period was a sign of them doing things the right way. This is probably why they are still so passionate about each other now!

When representing the Royal Family, Sophie does so with a notable sense of humor that endears her to anyone she crosses paths with. A charity worker quoted by the Daily Mail claims that Sophie once played "Sweet Caroline" on a kazoo after receiving the instrument as a present!

The Duchess' personality is a great asset these days, as the Royals have been dealing with numerous health issues. When King Charles and Princess Catherine were diagnosed with cancer, Sophie embraced some of their workload and made sure the Royal Family was properly represented at all times. The Daily Mail claims that King Charles took note of this and praised her for her no fuss approach to getting the job done.

Sophie's versatility gives her the foundation needed to handle a busy 2025. Her tendency to focus on unpopular causes makes her extremely valuable to British society and those abroad. Knowing this, we estimate that Sophie will continue to make headlines for her charity work and willingness to think of the common man.
