You know, Tea and Banter isn't a sports blog, but it's sure starting to feel like it.

Like every Royal should, Prince William has been taking a break from work to spend time with his wife, Princess Catherine, and his three children. However, the Prince of Wales hasn't been sitting in silence the entire time; as he's been watching his favorite football club, Aston Villa, go on an immense run.

According to a recent article from Hello Magazine, Villa defeated Bologna, Bayern Munich, and BSC Young Boys in its last three matches. Notably, Villa won each of these games without conceding a single point to any of the aforementioned sides.

Those who are simultaneously fans of the Royal Family and English football already know that Prince William is a massive Aston Villa FC supporter. Apparently, the Prince of Wales' fandom is a family tradition, as George, his eldest son, has been supporting Villa during his October half break as well!

Aston Villa's recent level of success is long overdue. The club hasn't competed on Europe's biggest stage since the early 1990s; which would explain why Prince William isn't able to contain his excitement!

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Prince William wrote a post tagging Ally McCoist, a sports broadcaster who received an OBE from the Royal not too long ago. The post even included a clenched bicep emoji and William's signature "W" at the end to let the world know he wrote it himself. When's the last time we've seen the Prince this hyped up?

Are you a supporter of Aston Villa FC, too? Did you know the Royals were this passionate about their sports? Tag us on X or Facebook so we can catch our breaths together before King Charles signs up for a marathon!
