Calls for Prince Harry to step away from African Parks have intensified as the organization continues to deal with public backlash.
According to GB News, African Parks has been accused of subjecting " indigenous people to abuses including r*pe and torture." The organization conceded that "in some incidents, human rights abuses have occurred," but it has not directly confirmed what those human rights abuses were.
In the same statement, African Parks admitted that a review performed by Omnia, a London-based law firm, "highlighted several failures of our systems and processes that were insufficient for the level of responsibility given to us, particularly in the early years."
Another struggle for the royal who loves to give back the most

According to GB News' report, Prince Harry " is understood to have been closely involved in understanding the findings of the review and implementing necessary changes." If correct, this means the Duke of Sussex has the authority to change African Parks for the better and weed out the administrators responsible for its failures.
However, critics of African Parks have pointed out that it's hard to determine what must be changed since the organization won't make the findings of Omnia's review public.
African Parks claims that it has already begun implementing new safeguards to protect people in the future. However, this may not be enough to satisfy the people who want Prince Harry to step down.
If Prince Harry were to step down from African Parks, it would not be the first time he left a charitable organization due to controversy. Earlier this year, the Duke left his beloved Sentebale, the charity he co-founded to honor the memory of his mother, Princess Diana.
Ironically, Prince Harry was forced to step away because of controversies within Sentebale's administrative structure.
In this situation, Prince Harry understood the importance of protecting stakeholders and removing his support from charities that refuse to address their weaknesses from the ground up.
A few months ago, Charles Spencer expressed how proud he is of Prince Harry after he won a major media case in court. According to a quote published by Hello! Magazine, Spencer believed that Princess Diana "would be immensely touched by [Harry's legal victory] . . . and also rightly proud."
From the outside looking in, Princess Diana would probably be proud of Prince Harry's record of separating himself from unethical organizations as well.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's official website claims that Harry's been involved with African Parks since 2016. If he leaves the organization, it would end one of his most tenured charitable ventures.
