Zayn Malik teases new music after wiping his Instagram

Zayn Malik looks to be teasing new music and he did it by wiping his Instagram clean and then posting an eight second clip. But what has us thinking the singer is teasing new music?

As PopSugar reported, the post had no caption with it and simply saw the singer on a motorbike revving the engine as the video pans in on his eyes. It's honestly the furthest thing from a real clue that he could have shared. However, it is definitely more about what was in his Instagram Stories that has us thinking there is new music on the way. After wiping the account and adding that short teaser clip, Zayn posted an image of himself in the studio and even added a pre-save link to the story.

Previously the singer was with RCA Records, and it has been two years since he has released any new music. Since then, he has signed with Mercury Records, which means that it does make sense for him to be teasing new music on the horizon.

Zayn Malik seems to be hinting at new music coming soon

Obviously, he didn't really give his fans much to go on with his first post or stories on Instagram, but what he did do was get people talking. Fans flooded the new post with comments and questions, some even calling this a new era for the singer.

However, the singer did not stop there. On June 29, he also added another short video, this time featuring a bit of music as he stood on top of a building overlooking a city. And while we do get a much better tease of what to expect from his new music, it is definitely far from enough to tell what direction he plans to take his new material.

It has been said that Zayn would be dropping new music this summer and seeing him teasing something new on Instagram definitely suggests that this is true. And this news comes on the heels of Liam Payne letting people know that the former members of One Direction are all in a group chat, causing many fans to speculate that there is a chance of a reunion for the group.

While a reunion of One Direction might be interesting to see now that all of the singers have released solo albums to varying levels of success, we are more excited to see what Zayn has in store for his fans. The fact that he wiped his entire Instagram account in order to share a simple teaser with no words, followed by another with a hint of audio, has us thinking that his new music might be a departure from what we have seen and heard from him in the past.
