What Patrick Stewart had to say about filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Patrick Stewart is no stranger to Marvel and Marvel movies thanks to his tenure as Professor X in the X-Men movies. Of course, his tenure was before the X-Men were folded back into the MCU fold, but it still counts.
Considering Stewart has a rather unique history of superhero movies and science fiction/fantasy movies, it actually makes perfect sense that he was also part of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. For a lot of his fans, having his Professor X be a part of the film was a dream come true.
However, while we may have loved to see him pop up in the film, it seems like his own experience with filming this Marvel movie was not as great as we might have hoped.
What did Patrick Stewart have to say about filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
According to IGN, in a recent chat with the Happy Sad Confused podcast this is what Patrick Stewart had to say about his time filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness:
"It was alone. I think the big scene, each one of the leading actors had the same experience. They were shot on their own. It was a frustrating and disappointing but that's how it has been. The last few years have been challenging."
- Patrick Stewart
So basically filming on the newest addition to the Doctor Strange movies was not as great as we might have liked. And if Stewart was filming his scenes alone, it makes sense that he would describe his time on set as "disappointing."
However, while it may have been a disappointing experience, we can't help but appreciate the fact that Patrick Stewart still gave it his all in the scene. And we would expect nothing less from the actor as he always delivers his very best performances no matter what the circumstances.
But we want to know what you think of his take on filming his scenes. Are you surprised that he was disappointed? Are you surprised that he was alone doing his scene?
