Beyond her charitable work, Princess Diana was also a style icon. And over the years, her style has continued to be so popular that even a sheep sweater she wore once went up for auction and sold for millions, and it also led to plenty of dupes and recreations.

So it may come as no surprise that according to US Weekly, there is actually a fashion trend that comes around every Fall. So what is this trend? Well first we have to point out that they call it Princess Diana Fall. And it pops up when the weather goes from the warmth of summer to those brisker days.

The trend itself is one that we see so often, and it is a pairing of oversized sweatshirts with bike shorts. And if you really want to channel Princess Diana, then you will want to pair that look with white athletic sneakers and taller socks. It's an entire vibe and it is also a look that is so easy to recreate, which is why it makes sense that many women are already doing it.

Even if you aren't trying to recreate the iconic graphic sweatshirt and bike shorts look that the late princess seems to have made famous, you might still be doing it just because of how iconic the look is. This is not about actually copying a look, but rather embracing an aesthetic that is comfortable and easy.

Considering Princess Diana rocked this look back in 1995 and people are still doing this nearly 29 years later, it is proof that even without trying, she was a style icon and a legend. The fact that she wore this look (swapping oversized sweatshirts along the way) more than once is proof that this is a Fall fashion trend that has staying power even without the connection to Princess Diana.

Of course, we are never going to complain about anyone comparing our fashion to the late princess. And if you are someone who takes inspiration from Princess Diana, are you all about her dressed up looks or these more every day, down to earth moments?

We love that US Weekly has once again reminded us of the power of Princess Diana and her fashion with the idea of Princess Diana Fall being a thing. And we hope more people channel this look throughout the Fall season.
