What does King Charles enjoy as a takeaway meal?

When you think of the royal family, what comes to mind? And in particular what comes to mind in terms of their dining options? For King Charles III, you might be surprised by some of his favorite dishes.

In particular, we were curious about whether or not the king was a fan of fast food at all. And while it is called takeaway in the UK, it turns out that there are at least two meals/dishes that King Charles is in fact a fan of.

What does King Charles enjoy as a takeaway (fast food) meal?

According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, it seems that the primary meal that the king (and his family) is a fan of when it comes to takeaway is fish and chips. And if you know anything about the British, then you already know that fish and chips is a popular dish. (My mother still waxes poetic about the fish and chips she ate when living in the UK.)

Apparently, fish and chips with a cup of tea was a meal that would often be enjoyed on a Friday. And we happen to love that! It makes sense that this would be a Friday meal, as it is a great way to end the week.

However, fish and chips is not the only meal that King Charles has been said to enjoy as a takeaway meal. The other dish that the king is said to enjoy is a Margherita Pizza. And this makes sense as it is perhaps one of the freshest pizzas you can get.

For anyone unfamiliar with what exactly a Margherita pizza is, this is a pizza featuring basil, fresh tomatoes, olive oil and fresh mozzarella. It's a classic pizza without all of the excessive grease that one might find on say a pepperoni pizza or even a regular cheese pizza.

Honestly, we love knowing that even the king himself is willing to indulge in a bit of takeaway. And we appreciate that he has a pizza preference as well. It definitely makes him seem a little more like the common man, even if we know that he isn't.
