What did Princess Catherine wear for the final day of Wimbledon 2024?
July 14 was a big day at Wimbledon. Not only was it the final day of the event, but it was also the finals for both the Men's Singles Championship, but also for the Mixed Doubles. And then there was the arrival of the facility's patron, Princess Catherine of Wales.
For only the second time in 2024, Princess Catherine was on duty for a public event. In this case, she got to watch the matches alongside of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Matthews. And once there was a winner for the Men's title, she also handed out the trophy and congratulated both finalists.
Considering Princess Catherine is often seen as a style icon, it makes sense that people would be curious about what she was seen wearing for the final day of Wimbledon.
Princess Catherine was a style icon on the final day of Wimbledon 2024
According to royal fashion watched Remoulade Sauce over on X (formerly Twitter), Princess Catherine wore a lilac Safiyaa Cecilia Midi Dress that had been modified for the princess. The dress had an adjusted neckline, so that instead of a V-neck, her dress had a high neckline. And not long after the princess was seen in the modified dress, Safiyaa released that version of the dress (with the high neck) on their website for £1,295.
Princess Catherine paired the midi length dress with a pair of slingback pumps by Camilla Elphick in a beige color. She also carried with her a matching handbag from the brand LK Bennett.
Obviously, the Princess of Wales kept her overall look very clean and classic, right down to the jewelry she chose. From the two bangles on her wrist, her wedding ring, and the simple earrings, Princess Catherine opted for a more neutral look that allowed the dress to shine.
Once again, the princess is making a statement with her fashion choices. And we would not be surprised to see the Safiyaa dress she chose (both the original option and the modified version) selling out quickly.
