The Duke of Gloucester is attending a tour of The Cosmic House as patron of The Kensington Society

As the late Queen Elizabeth II's cousin, the Duke of Gloucester has been a working royal for many years. And when King Charles III took the throne, he stayed on as a senior member of the royal family. This means that he will take part in working engagements on behalf of the king. And on September 5, the duke is in fact doing a planned engagement in his role as the patron of The Kensington Society.

For anyone unfamiliar with The Kensington Society, it is a civic society for Kensington in London. And as patron of the organization, it seems that the Duke of Gloucester will be attending a tour of the Cosmic House at 19 Lansdowne Walk.

Earlier this year, The Kensington Society held an event for members that allowed a select number of people tour the Cosmic House themselves. Considering this is a historical landmark in London thanks to its post-modern architecture designed by Charles Jencks as well as a few other architects that worked on the interior of this home, it does make sense that there would be interest in touring the property.

And since the Duke of Gloucester has a particular interest in architecture, which is reflected in a number of the organizations that he is a patron of, this royal engagement on September 5 makes perfect sense.

While there is not much known about the tour of the Cosmic House that the Duke of Gloucester will be taking part in, we do hope that there are some pictures from this engagement, especially if it gives us a glimpse into the home and the interior features that make it so special. While Cosmic House has been open to the public since 2021, the fact that this home is in a residential area means that visiting hours and the number of people allowed to tour the home is still quite limited.
