It has been a rough few months for the royal family. And a lot of that has had to do with health concerns. One of those individuals who faced their own health issues was Princess Catherine.

Not only did she undergo a surgical procedure, but there has been a lot of speculation around exactly what the issue is. Of course, there has been no comment on exactly what procedure she had done or what the issue revolving around her health was, but it is truly none of our business. That being said, the rumors have been running rampant. After all, she has been out of the public eye for months now, and as a member of the royal family people want to know what is going on.

However, it sounds like that will be changing soon, and the Princess will be back to work soon enough. According to Hello magazine, Princess Catherine’s first official engagement following her surgery has been announced. And yes, she will be resuming her duties after Easter. This is something that had already been discussed in the statement about her surgery and what people should expect in terms of her recovery.

So what exactly will her first official engagement back be?

Princess Catherine’s next royal engagement confirmed

On June 8, the Princess of Wales will actually be reviewing Trooping the Colour. What does that mean? “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.”

Apparently, Princess Catherine will end up reviewing 250 soldiers along The Mall who are part of the Foot Guards. She will be doing this as part of her current role as the Colonel Irish Guard. There is no word on whether or not the king will participate in this event, or make an appearance, but it is being said that his own Trooping the Colour is set for June 15. This is in celebration of his birthday.

While this is the first confirmed royal engagement following Princess Catherine’s surgery, we do not know if this will be her first official engagement back to work. It is entirely possible that there could be other engagements that happen prior to June 8. However, at this point, it does sound like this will be her official return to royal duties.

What do you think of this announcement? Are you surprised by when her first official engagement back will take place?
