Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan arrive in Colombia in style
August 15 was the first day of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit to Colombia. And the couple certainly arrived in style.
On their very first day of this four day trip, the duo had a chance to experience the capital city, Bogotá with the Vice President of Colombia, Francia Marquez and her partner. The two couples enjoyed a traditional dish along with coffee and tea while chatting about their hope for the future in terms of digital safety. This was followed by a visit to a local school where online safety was the primary focus.
As the couple arrived in Colombia, they looked polished and stylish, with Duchess Meghan looking especially sleek in her Veronica Beard cropped trousers and matching halter style vest. With her hair pulled back into a classic bun and simple black heels, the duchess looked every inch a royal at work. And of course, Prince Harry was at her side in a suit in a coordinated shade of navy blue that gave off strong vibes of being ready for anything.
And that was just their first look of the first day, as they both changed for an evening of dancing and culture. As the What Meghan Wore blog explains, the duo took in the National Centre for the Arts in Bogotá for an evening of performances. Instead of the darker shades they started the day in, Prince Harry opted for a more relaxed, beige sports coat with white slacks and the baby blue dress shirt from earlier in the day.
To round out her first day in Colombia, Duchess Meghan opted for a brighter pink colored midi dress from the brand, Johanna Ortiz. The dress, which is called the Navajo Weaver dress features a textured look, a small cutout at the front and a front slit in the skirt.
Finally we also saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at a digital futures forum that saw the duchess in her third outfit of the trip, which was a satiny brown ensemble of trousers and dress shirt with a pair of camel colored sandals. While it does look like Prince Harry opted for the dark suit look from earlier in the day, this particular look from the Duchess was a blend of business casual and elevated luxury, versus the other two looks from their first day in Colombia.
The couple certainly seemed ready for their tour of Colombia based on just their first day in the capital. And it was definitely a jampacked first day as they not only met with the vice president of the country, but also took in the performances at the cultural center, visited a school and even participated in a summit. The fact that they looked good doing it, is just an added bonus for fans.
