In a recent article, US Weekly reported that Ashley Hansen, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Global Press Secretary and Head of Communications, is opening her own communications firm. US Weekly's report shows that Hansen has been an integral part of Meghan and Prince Harry's communications strategy since May 2022. In her tenure, Hansen has advised the promotion of a docuseries focused on the couple, a memoir written by Prince Harry, and a podcast hosted by Markle. Before her stint working for the Royals, Hansen was an anchor producer for Good Morning America.

As both sides move forward in their new business relationship, Hansen will continue to help Meghan and Prince Harry craft their communications strategy. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were confirmed as two of Three Gates Strategies' first clients by US Weekly's report. To help manage current and future demand, Hansen has recruited two senior communications executives to lead her offices in Los Angeles and London.

Meghan Markle expressed her pride in Hansen's decision after the Global Press Secretary's new business venture was announced. The Duchess of Sussex also intimated that Hansen's new project marks her growth as a female entrepreneur.

When explaining the thought process behind her new name, Hansen said she was inspired by a quote written by Rumi, a Persian poet. The quote, according to US Weekly's article says "before you speak, let your words pass through three gates. Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?" With this standard in mind, it's easy to see how Hansen created such a successful career for herself.
