The holidays are coming up in a couple of months but you don' have to wait for a Doctor Who Christmas special to drop to start finding that perfect gift. The franchise has products to delight veteran fans and newcomers alike. Let's take a look at some of the options out there.

Something new in the box of blue

Let's start with something new and different: The Fifteenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver Deluxe Edition. The sonics are as individual as the Doctor's regenerations and there is quite a lot of whimsy in this tool wielded by Ncuti Gatwa, the 15th Doctor. This is the doctor of musical numbers and a fabulous sense of fashion and you can channel that vivacity in the replica of his sonic screwdriver, now on sale at character-online.com. The product is exclusive to Character Online and "features two modes of operation....as well as five brand new and totally unique sound and light effects. with each accessed by a different button sequence." For those feeling more nostalgic, they also have Fourteen's sonic.

Something Older

If you're on a nostalgic bent, there are few things as delightful as Tom Baker's complete first season as the Fourth Doctor on Blu-ray. Actually, there are seven of these options, but it's best to start at the beginning. The 1974-75 series brings Baker face to face with Sontarans, Daleks, and even Cybermen. Even more delightful are the continuing adventures with Elizabeth Sladen's Sarah-Jane Smith and Ian Marter's Surgeon-Lieutenant Harry Sullivan.

Wear it like you mean it

Perusing other categories on the BBC Shop for Doctor Who, there are some t-shirts for the days when you want to let your geek flag fly. Artist Kelly Yates renders the Thirteenth Doctor in a winsome animated pose in the moments after she engineers her own sonic screwdriver and this print is available as a ladies' t-shirt.

Can't decide on a favorite? Me either. But luckily, there are t-shirts that show both every TARDIS and the first fourteen Doctors.

If you're a fan of the newest Doctor, there is a bright-blue t-shirt that proudly proclaims "Honey, I'm here for fun" around a graphic of the Fifteenth Doctor, which was original to San Diego Comic-Con 2024.

One of the Tenth Doctor's best lines is the repeated "WHAT?!" motif. A tote bag poses that question over a starry rendition of the police telephone box and will keep you remembering the times that he said it to a runaway bride, the RMS Titanic., etc.

Meanwhile,, for anyone whose pockets aren't bigger on the inside, you can carry the Fifteenth Doctor's sonic screwdriver on an enamel keychain.

There is plenty of time to order something for yourself or your favorite Whovian, but stay tuned for more holiday gift ideas.
