Kensington Palace confirms Prince William's September 10 trip to Wales
The Prince of Wales is getting back to work after the summer holidays. And Kensington Palace has officially confirmed the prince's planned visit to Wales on September 10, which includes multiple stops.
According to People Magazine, on Sept. 3, the palace detailed Prince William's trip, which will see him making a visit to Llanelli in South Wales. There he will meet with members of the community, celebrate the culture of the area, as well as some local sport.
As part of his visit to Llanelli, Prince William will be visiting with the students who participated in a week-long festival to celebrate Welsh culture from the Swiss Valley Community Primary School. After spending time with the students, he will also visit the headquarters for the Air Ambulance of Wales. Considering it is apparently Air Ambulance week, the visit does seem perfectly timed for the patron of this organization.
Prince William is heading to Wales on September 10 to spend a day with the people of Llanelli
To finish off his day in South Wales, Prince William will also get a chance to enjoy a bit of rugby. Or at the very least it sounds like he will get to meet some of the women's team members.
"Prince William will wrap the day at Parc y Scarlets, the home of the Scarlets Rugby Union team, to celebrate the endeavors of past and present athletes on the women's team. The Prince of Wales will make the stop to support the Welsh Rugby Union's "Missing Caps" campaign and will spend time with members of the current international squad, which recently qualified for the 2025 World Cup."
- People Magazine report
This trip to South Wales is not the first of his royal engagements post summer break, as Prince William will be visiting Saatchi Gallery in London on Sept. 5. The art gallery visit is in part a chance for the prince to see a display that relates to his work to end homelessness as part of the Homewards campaign entitled "Homelessness: Reframed."
It does sound like Prince William is getting off to a busy start to the month of September, and it should be interesting to see what other royal engagements he takes part in this month. Hopefully we will also get to see Princess Catherine joining him for an outing this month as well, as fans of the Prince and Princess of Wales were certainly excited to see her heading out with the family for a Sunday service during the month of August.
Are you looking forward to seeing Prince William getting back to royal engagements in September? Do you follow the royal calendar at all?
