Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars takes on their first challenge of the season and it was a mess
The competition is underway as Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars saw the new batch of competitors take on their very first challenge of Season 2. For this challenge it was all about the teams turning a profit by running a food truck. And it didn't matter which team people were on, things were a bit of a mess all around.
Lisa Vanderpump's team saw tickets flying away, and customers having to wait in line for an extended period of time as they got swamped quickly. And over on Gordon Ramsay's team, calling everyone a team would be too generous, as it really felt like people didn't know how to work together. Not only that, but with some people having no clue about what was going on or even what the menu was, it probably came as no surprise that the lines were so long that some people didn't even get to eat and others were poached by team Vanderpump.
Even with issues on Team Vanderpump, they ended up winning the challenge by a landslide. In fact, the team nearly doubled the profit that Team Ramsay made. And honestly, it was far from surprising.
This first challenge did not go well for Gordon Ramsay's team. From bad pricing to being unable to serve nearly enough guests, the team did not perform well. Sadly, one person in particular was called out for making excuses and not working well with the team. And that person was Tyler.
While Tyler had a lot of personality, this challenge was not one that he seemed comfortable with. And his team called him out on that during the "grilling." Gordon Ramsay made it clear that he was not happy with his team, but who would he be sending home after this first challenge?
By the end of the episode, the first member of Team Ramsay was eliminated, and sadly it was Tyler who couldn't make the cut.
Gordon made it clear to his team that he expects better from them and that he did not want to see them at the grilling again. Of course, it all depends on how they work together next time as they take on their second challenge of the season.
