The final of Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars Season 2 was a double episode that saw five semi-finalists whittled down to three finalists before a winner was announced. And considering what an interesting journey this season has been, we couldn't wait to learn which mentor had the winning Food Star.

This season has seen plenty of ups and downs across both team Lisa Vanderpump and team Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars. There were just as many failures as there were successes. And yet, when it came down to it, the final five were definitely some of the stronger entrepreneurs.

Our semifinalists consisted of the following:

  • Ali Schlichter - Team Ramsay
  • Andrew Whiting - Team Ramsay
  • Jess Druey - Team Vanderpump
  • Roman Desmond - Team Vanderpump
  • Erica Bethe Levin - Team Vanderpump

All five had to create a brand and product from scratch in just 36 hours. They would then have to create a video campaign and do a presentation in front of Lisa and Gordon. The Food Stars were given only a few industries their products could come from, including pet food, beverages, and breakfast.

It was an interesting challenge and one that everyone seemed to go all in on, even though there were some struggles. In the end, the finalists were Ali, Jess, and Roman. All of whom had innovative ideas and knew how to craft interesting pitches.

Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars saw the finalists take on the ultimate challenge of creating a new product for their own brands

For their final challenge, the finalists then had to create a new product for their own brands. These would then be showcased in front of industry professionals, as well as Gordon and Lisa. They would also have to explain how winning would have an impact on their business.

While all three finalists were amazing in both the creation of a new product for their brand, as well as the presentations, Ali Schlichter really seemed to surprise both her mentor and Lisa Vanderpump. However, it was not enough to overcome the magic that is Jess Druey.

All season long, Jess Druey has been a star when it comes to presentations. And this was no different. Perhaps the biggest thing for Jess was that she allowed herself to be vulnerable and honest on the stage. She left it all on the table. And that paid off for her. It also helped that she had a great product addition to her Whiny Baby brand.

Jess Druey winning also meant that Lisa Vanderpump was the winning mentor of Season 2 of Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars. And while it was a much deserved win, it also means that we want a rematch. We want to see if Lisa Vanderpump can once again come out on top against Gordon Ramsay.

Congratulations are in order for Jess Druey and team Vanderpump. And we can't wait to see what she has in store for us all.
