Gordon Ramsay is "over the moon" with happiness for his daughter's engagement
By Kaki Olsen
Gordon Ramsay can be quite harsh in his persona as a television personality, demonstrating a fiery temper and a flair for incisive commentary on such shows as Hell's Kitchen and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Beyond environments where he must take charge, he's not as acerbic as he seems. Even on television, he takes someone down a peg only to give them the tools to succeed. On a trip to Boston in June, for example, he not only served food to firefighters during the day, but he threw out the first pitch before enjoying the Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
A proud father, Gordon Ramsay shares his thoughts on his daughter’s engagement
As reported by Newsweek, Ramsay took to Instagram recently to respond to the news that he was gaining a son-in-law. 24-year-old Holly Ramsay has said yes to a proposal of marriage from Team Great Britain's gold medal-winning swimmer Adam Peaty and Gordon declared himself to be "over the moon and enjoy this moment!" After welcoming Adam to the family, he extolled his daughter's virtues:
"Hols, watching you become the woman you are today with your kindness and your love is absolutely infectious...Adam is a very lucky man!"
- Gordon Ramsay
Sister Tilly Ramsay responded enthusiastically, "Couldn't be happier for you both!!" While Holly herself reflected that "I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now..Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever."
Peaty described himself as "the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side." He also had these kind words to say about his future in-laws"
"Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can't wait to be joined with them too."
- Adam Peaty
Congratulations to Adam and Holly.
