Celebrate Christmas with Hannah Waddingham

It’s the holiday season and as such you’re probably looking for a little seasonal entertainment. In addition to movie re-watches and Christmas-themed episodes of our favorite shows, it’s nice to get a variety of holiday specials.

If you’re looking for something musical to get you into the Christmas spirit, Apple TV+ has you covered. On Thanksgiving weekend, the streamer launched the special Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas. It’s now available to stream for those looking to get in on those good holiday vibes.

About the Special

Most probably recognize Waddingham for her work on the screen. She played a pivotal character in the later seasons of Game of Thrones, and most recently she stars as team owner Rebecca on the Apple TV+ hit Ted Lasso. But in addition to her acting work, she’s a talented singer and performer. In this special, she gets to ply those talents in a special at the London Coliseum.

The special is hosted by Waddingham, who provides context for the music and what it means to be performing in the London Coliseum. She also leads the musical numbers while introducing a number of special guests. The special features nearly all he co-stars from Ted Lasso as well as other projects she’s appeared in. We also get actors Luke Evans and Leslie Odom, Jr., popping up to perform numbers with Waddingham as well.

For those who enjoy the trappings of the season, this is a beautiful and well-paced special. I enjoyed the music, the skits and gags and all of the trappings of the special. It felt like a great way to celebrate the season and enjoy some wonderfully performed seasonal classics.
