Forget alliances on Next Level Chef, it is not going to happen. As we kick off the second episode of the season, we saw our home chefs getting the chance to prove that they have what it takes to be in the competition. They kicked things off in the basement with Nyesha Arrington as their in kitchen mentor. But, perhaps the best moment was when Nyesha ratted out Richard Blais to Gordon Ramsay about his proposal from episode one.

In the very first episode of the season, while Nyesha and Richard were watching the chef’s compete under Ramsay’s watch, Richard proposed the idea of an alliance to take down the other chef who has already won Next Level Chef twice. Unfortunately for him, it seems that she was not interested in this proposal, and in the second episode while they were discussing who would be eliminated after the first cook in the basement, she revealed the plan to Gordon Ramsay.

Of course, poor Richard was devastated to see that Nyeisha didn’t want to work with them to take down chef Ramsey. And he even said something to her as they watched the home chefs doing their cook in the middle kitchen under Gordon Ramsay's watch. It was a funny moment, but she made it quite clear that alliances don’t work because someone always stabs the other person in the back.

Gordon Ramsay had a great moment with one home chef on Next Level Chef

However, that was not the only interesting Gordon Ramsay moment in this episode. We also had one when a home chef was talking to Chef Ramsay about herself and her cooking and she talked about her cookbook that she wrote a few years ago. And he admitted to her that he actually owns her cookbook.

It turns out that Megan's cookbook is all about cooking with cast-iron, which she is a fan of. And we are not surprised that she was absolutely giddy to learn that Gordon Ramsay actually owns her cookbook. We would’ve had the exact same reaction as her. And it was a great overall moment for a home chef in the very opening episode of their Next Level Chef experience.

The home chefs were impressive in their first three cooks of this new season. And we can't wait to see what they bring in Season 4.
