The Invictus Games keeps delivering new headlines outside of the playing fields.

According to a recent report from Us Weekly, Meghan Markle has posted her first Instagram stories since opening her solo account on January 1.

The stories included pictures of Meghan chatting with competitors and a video of Prince Harry dancing to the tune of "Dancing with Myself" in front of a group.

Meghan's profile is still fairly fresh. As of now, the new page only has 5 posts. Despite this, the Instagram account has already attracted 1.7 million new followers. That's quite an impressive feat for someone who has multiple projects to promote in the near future!

Meghan Markle's presence alone is enough to drive attention to the Invictus Games. Prince Harry has done an excellent job recruiting celebrities to perform at the event's opening and closing ceremonies; but some of the week's biggest stories have involved the royal couple in some fashion.

Earlier this week, Harry and Meghan visited the Squamish Nation and righted a wrong that persisted for generations. Meghan's presence as a member of the Royal Family meant more than any Instagram post ever could. Now, however, the Duchess can use her new platform to highlight the First Nation community's activities moving forward.

Us Weekly reports that Meghan returned to Instagram as a solo star after making her last post on the @royalsussex page 5 years ago.

"While you may not see us here, the work continues," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explained while closing their joint profile. "We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great! Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.”

On February 7, Meghan made an unplanned speech while saying hello to attendees and their families after arriving in Canada. Meghan reportedly felt at home after landing in the country, which makes sense since she lived in Toronto for several years while co-starring in the Suits TV series.

Meghan and Harry's packed schedule since arriving in Vancouver should have given the Duchess more material to post on her Instagram profile. It's possible that Meghan is taking a less is more approach to her social media and making sure everything is edited perfectly before the public gets to hear from her. If that's the case, we should expect more content from the royal sometime before the Invictus Games conclude.
