Is it just me, or have King Charles and Prince William been spending more time together lately?
Over the past week, multiple reports have covered the King of the United Kingdom and Prince of Wales' recent double engagement.
GB News reported that King Charles and Prince William teamed up to attend a service celebrating the Order of the Bath's 300th anniversary. The Order was first founded in 1725 by a Letters Patent from George I.
For King Charles, the 300th anniversary celebration was a "Grand Opening, Grand Closing" type of affair. The engagement was his first since becoming King of the United Kingdom in 2022. However, the biggest story from the event was his decision to appoint Prince William as the new Great Master of the Order.

My "Grand Opening, Grand Closing" quip comes from the fact that King Charles was technically the Great Master of the Order once the 300th anniversary celebration began.
According to Westminster Abbey, King Charles, the then Prince of Wales, was Great Master of the Order from 1975 to 2022. He vacated the post in 2022 after ascending to the throne.
As such, Prince William's appointment this weekend is yet another example of him following in his father's footsteps while preparing to become the King of the United Kingdom one day.
An article from Hello! Magazine shows that Charles and William arrived to the event separately despite their strong show of unity.
King Charles and the Prince of Wales being on the same page is important since they and the rest of the royals are still reeling from Prince Harry's recent interview with BBC News.
During the interview Prince Harry alleged that King Charles could have done more to provide security for the Duke, his wife, and the King's grandchildren. Harry also insinuated that he and King Charles never speak anymore.
Prince William almost always sides with his father, and his appointment as the Great Master of the Order shows that King Charles recognizes his son's loyalty and potential.
At the same time, one could argue that its simply tradition for the Prince of Wales to serve as the Great Master of the order since the man holding the position is expected to attend every service either way,
However, with the way things currently are in the Royal Family, you can never be too sure of anything anymore.
